REEF SENSE PH & TEMPERATURE PROBE

The Red Sea ReefSense Digital pH & Temperature Probe is a fundamental, dual-purpose sensor designed to monitor the two most crucial and interrelated parameters for the health and stability of any marine reef aquarium: pH (acidity/alkalinity) and Temperature. Technical Features • Digital Data Transmission: Unlike traditional analog probes, this unit features a digital converter built right into the probe head. This technology ensures the signal sent back to the controller is purely digital, making the readings highly resistant to electrical noise (EMI) from pumps, lights, and other sump equipment that can corrupt analog signals. • Combined 2-in-1 Sensor: Measures and transmits both pH and temperature data through a single physical port on the controller. • High Precision Measurements: • pH Accuracy: 0.1 pH unit. • Temperature Accuracy: 0.1 F • Integrated Temperature Sensor: The dedicated temperature sensor ensures the highest accuracy for the pH reading through continuous Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC). • Smart Calibration Memory: Calibration data is stored directly on the probe's internal memory. This allows for simple plug-and-play use if the probe needs to be moved to a different port or even a different Red Sea controller, eliminating the need for frequent recalibration. Ecosystem Integration and Automation The probe is a core part of the Red Sea ReefControl system and is managed entirely through the ReefBeat mobile app, enabling powerful features: • 24/7 Monitoring & Logging: Provides continuous, real-time data feeds, detailed history logs, and trend analysis for both pH and temperature, allowing you to easily spot daily trends (e.g., pH dip at night). • Instant Critical Alerts: Sends immediate notifications to your mobile device if the pH or temperature levels breach your custom-defined safe ranges, allowing for rapid intervention to protect your livestock. • Automation Triggers: The readings from this probe can be used to control various devices: • CO2 Scrubber Automation: Use the pH reading to automatically control the power to an air pump connected to a CO2 scrubber (via a ReefControl Power unit) to maintain stable pH levels. • Temperature Control: Automatically activate cooling fans, chillers, or heaters (via a ReefControl Power or the DC ports on the Pro/Lite) to keep the temperature within the optimal range. • Remote Calibration: Allows for quick, simple calibration via Bluetooth near a sink or water mixing station. This probe is essential for maintaining the chemical and thermal stability that is vital for all corals and marine fish.
