REEF SENSE LEAK DETECTOR

The Red Sea ReefSense Leak Detector is a critical, digital safety accessory designed to provide instant warning and, more importantly, automated response to water leaks in and around your marine aquarium system. It is a vital component for ensuring peace of mind and minimizing the potential for damage from accidental spills or equipment failures. Technical Features • Digital Accuracy & Reliability: Like all ReefSense products, the detector operates on a digital signal, providing an instant, clear detection of water presence. It is highly reliable and immune to the false alarms or failures that can plague simpler contact sensors. • Highly Sensitive Probes: The detector uses integrated metal pins/probes that detect the presence of water across the connection points. • Compact & Low-Profile: Designed to be easily placed in critical areas that are prone to leaks, such as under the sump, behind the aquarium stand, or near plumbing connections. • Easy Placement: The unit is small and typically placed on the floor or surface where a leak would first collect. Ecosystem Integration and Automated Safety The ReefSense Leak Detector integrates seamlessly into the ReefControl system and is managed through the ReefBeat mobile app, enabling its powerful safety features: • Instant Mobile Alerts: When the detector senses water, it immediately sends a critical, audible notification to your mobile device via the ReefBeat app, alerting you to the precise location of the leak. • Automated Power Shutoff (Critical Safety Protocol): This is the Leak Detector's most important function. When connected to a ReefControl Lite or ReefControl Pro controller (and integrated with a ReefControl Power unit), it can be set up to trigger immediate emergency protocols: • Cut Power to Pumps: Automatically shut off all critical AC-powered equipment (like return pumps, wavemakers, or skimmers) to stop the flow of water out of the tank and sump, drastically minimizing the volume of water spilled. • Disable ATO: Prevent the Automatic Top-Off (ATO) system from adding fresh water to the spill area. • Continuous Monitoring: The ReefBeat app confirms the detector is always connected and functional, ensuring it is ready when you need it. The ReefSense Leak Detector is an essential and intelligent safety device that provides not just an alarm, but a rapid, automated defense against water damage, making it a valuable investment for protecting your home and your high-value aquarium.
