BIOFLOW FILTER MEDIUM FILTER SYSTEM

The Ultimate Internal Filtration System: JUWEL Bioflow (M, L, & XL) The JUWEL Bioflow Internal Filter System has been recognized as one of the world's leading filter systems for modern aquariums, combining unparalleled efficiency, safety, and ease of maintenance. Engineered in Germany, the Bioflow provides superior mechanical, chemical, and biological filtration in a compact, in-tank design. Choose the Bioflow for a high-performance, worry-free solution that keeps your water crystal clear and your aquatic life thriving. Key Features and Technology • Extra-Large Filter Volume: The Bioflow system boasts a massive filter volume compared to conventional designs. This volume provides extensive space for media, leading to longer service intervals and exceptional biological stability. • Dual-Flow Principle: This unique technology creates two different flow velocities within the filter. A faster flow is used in the upper section for quick mechanical and chemical filtration, while a slower flow in the lower section promotes the optimal development of anaerobic bacteria—vital for superior biological breakdown of pollutants. • Integrated Safety & Design: By keeping the entire pump and filter system inside the aquarium, the Bioflow eliminates performance-reducing hose connections and the risk of external leaks, making it the safest way to filter your tank. • Seamless Heater Integration: The filter housing is designed to perfectly accommodate the corresponding JUWEL AquaHeat Automatic Heater (sold separately). This places the heater directly in the water circulation path, guaranteeing an even temperature distribution throughout your entire aquarium. • Easy Maintenance: The intelligent construction allows for effortless access to the pump and all filter media components without having to remove the entire filter box from the aquarium. Multi-Stage Filtration (5 High-Performance Media Included) Every Bioflow filter comes fully equipped with a complete set of media to establish your multi-stage filtration system: • BioPad (Filter Wool): Acts as a crucial Mechanical Pre-Filter, catching coarse dirt particles and debris to prevent clogging of deeper media. (Replace weekly) • BioCarb (Carbon Sponge): Provides Chemical Filtration, absorbing odors, turbidity, toxic compounds, and dissolved organic impurities for polished, crystal-clear water. (Replace monthly) • Nitrax (Nitrate Remover Sponge): A Biological/Chemical Filter containing specialist micro-organisms that break down poisonous metabolites (Ammonium/Nitrite) and reduce the growth of algae by anaerobically breaking down Nitrates. (Replace every 8 weeks) • Coarse Filter Sponge: Serves as the first stage of Biological Filtration, providing a large surface area for beneficial aerobic bacteria to colonize and initiate clarification. • Fine Filter Sponges: Used primarily for the long-term, intensive Biological Filtration in the lower anaerobic zone, retaining even the finest suspended particles.
