Individual motion, representative scale. The chamber is an original educational design inspired by moving-bed filtration principles.

Sources, model notes & limitations

Original educational reactor and carrier geometry, informed by manufacturer and university references. This is not a commercial-product replica, measured CAD, aquarium-sizing tool or installation plan.

Individual carriers follow a prescribed flow field with conservative sphere contacts and individual rotation. Bubbles, buoyancy, film thickness and pump motion are visual approximations. No fluid, oxygen, biological-growth or chemistry solver is used. The slow motion and macro views exaggerate details for study.

The media manufacturer distinguishes total from protected surface area; this original geometry carries no manufacturer area rating. Numerical controls are relative settings, not measured operating targets.
